About Us

Ali Salahuddin is a retired international businessman and entrepreneur. He is a graduate of Howard University's School of Business with a degree in accounting. In his senior year of college, Salahuddin joined the Nation of Islam. He later became the minister of the West Philadelphia Mosque and Business Manager for the Delaware Valley. As a businessman Salahuddin founded Superior Food Company and its subsidiaries: Shabazz Steak and Take, The Munchies and Bilal Brand Seafood.He is also the co-founder of the Garden of Bilal Restaurant.

Helen Salahuddin is an entertainment attorney and businesswoman practicing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. McCrary-Salahuddin holds a Bachelors degree in Speech Pathology from Howard University and a JD from Temple University School of Law. Since opening her law practice McCrary-Salahuddin has represented a wide range of clients associated with the entertainment industry.

Ali and Helen Salahuddin, Ali founded the d'Zert Club and formed the African Genesis Corrective History Educational Program (African Genesis Institute). Since 1998, they have taken over 2000 youth and adults to Senegal, The Gambia and Ghana, West Africa and Egypt, North Africa.

Ali and Helen are two phenomenal leaders, on a unique mission to uplift Black people.

d'Zert Club Highlights 1997 - 2009

  • Established study groups in Atlanta, Baltimore, Brooklyn, Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Harlem, Newark, NJ, Philadelphia, Richmond, Va, Washington, D.C and Wilmington, DE.

  • Raised $7 million through internal fundraising efforts.

  • Took 82 students, group leaders, travelers and staff to Senegal and The Gambia, West Africa.(1998)

  • Took 132 students, group leaders, travelers and staff to Ghana.(1999)

  • Took 2000 students, group leaders, travelers and staff to Egypt(2000-09)

  • Took 1000 people on Philadelphia Black History Walking Tour.

  • Took 7,000 people to Great Blacks in Wax Museum in Baltimore

  • Took 2500 students and group leaders to Washington, D.C., Williamsburg, Virginia and Harlem, New York

  • Took 2000 students and group leaders to trace Underground Railroad from Detroit, Michigan to Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

  • Made honorary citizens of Banjul, The Gambia by the mayor and city council.

  • Hosted by Khalif General and Sheik Hassan Cisse in Dakar and Kaolack, Senegal respectively.

  • Made honorary citizens of Essaman Village, Elmina, Ghana by paramount chief and elders.

  • Received by the Ashantehenne (King of the Ashanti Nation) in Kumasi, Ghana.

  • Honored by City of Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania and United States of America

  • Produced 2 Juneteenth Parades and Celebrations

  • Produced 4 Citywide Kwanzaa Celebrations

  • Donated life size wax figure of Cecil B. Moore to Great Blacks in Wax

  • Donated life size wax figure of David P. Richardson to Pastorious Elementary School

  • Awarded 10 David P. Richardson "Star Sojourner Book Scholarships".

  • Established "Bill Joyner Memorial Mile" health walk

  • Created the 2020 Real Estate Investment Group to acquire and develop land on the African continent.
