Gift Ideas for Natural Soaps

Natural soaps make great gifts for many different occasions.  Everyone uses soap, so you know the gift won’t end up in at the bottom of a drawer or the back of a closet.   Even people who use special designer creams and cleansers wash their hands in the guest bathroom from time to time.  And natural soaps are the kind of luxury item that many people won’t buy for themselves, but secretly wish they could have.  So do them a favor and buy some for them.  Here are a few ideas to try.

Handcrafted soap
Handcrafted soaps come in almost any color and shape you can think of.  Soap makers can be very creative with the way they layer ingredients and use decorative molds.  So find some that you like and then check the ingredients to see if they’re natural.  Look for plant-based glycerin rather than animal-based if your gift recipient is vegan.  Certified organic ingredients are the highest possible level of ‘natural’ and will insure that there are no pesticides or synthetic chemicals. 

Oatmeal Milk and Honey soap
If you aren’t sure whether your gift recipient has allergies, natural oatmeal soap is a good choice.  Oatmeal is a very mild ingredient and is usually hypoallergenic.  If you think that sensitivities to fragrance might be an issue, choose an oatmeal soap that is fragrance free.
