Black People who are BCE
Barack Obama – The 1st Black President
Oprah Winfrey – A media powerhouse and one of few Black billionaires in America
Robert L. Johnson – Made history when he took BET (Black Entertainment Television) public, making it the first Black-owned company to be traded on the New York Stock Exchange
Reginald F. Lewis – A global dealmaker that created the first Black-owned global enterprise to surpass $1 billion in revenue.
Delxino & Debbie Wilson de Briano - The top selling Black couple in network marketing
Wilma Rudolph – Against all odds became an international track superstar despite being born with the polio disease
Dr. Martin Luther King – The Drum Major for Justice. A courageous and iconic figure in the history of American liberalism who took a stand during the civil rights era to challenge racial inequality
And many many more Black people have risen to the occasion to achieve GREATNESS in the face of adversity, when the odds were against them, when people were against them, when society was against them. They were kicked when they were down, spit on, threatened with death, or even had the threats carried out upon them (but it didn’t stop their offspring from carrying the gene). What is this gene I refer to? To be BOLD, CONFIDENT, & EXCELLENT is a gene. There is a gene coursing through your veins that causes you to achieve GREATNESS, a gene that causes you to fight for something greater for yourself and that gene is called BCE.
B – Bold: To be BOLD is to be courageous
C – Confident: To be CONFIDENT is to think highly of yourself and the same of others
E – Excellent: To be EXCELLENT is to not be inferior
As a Black man who has risen up against my own personal challenges and not to mention the challenges faced by simply being a member of society, I too discovered I possess this gene and so do you. Created in the image of a long legacy of achievement (as indicated by the aforementioned individuals), the BCE clothing brand brings this legacy to the present in a fashionable manner.
BOLD is Dr. Martin Luther King who stood up for civil rights using civil disobedience as a weapon so that we could have the opportunities we enjoy today
CONFIDENT is President Barack Obama who said “I KNOW I can win” when asked the question “Do you THINK you can win?”
EXCELLENT are Delxino & Debbie de Briano who found their place in the world of entrepreneurship and nurtured their vision with efforts of EXCELLENCE to build an empire for Black entrepreneurs alike to prosper.
Almost all of US have a dream, have goals, and an appetite to attain or achieve them. Every great Black person that has left their foot print in the history books possessed the gene of being Bold, Confident, & Excellent. In order to achieve anything you are progressing towards in your life requires you to be BCE.
“In my world, I envision a society where every Black person achieves whatever it is they are progressing towards in their life, but in order to realize such achievement, one has to first be proud of who they are, where they come from, and certain of where they are headed.” ~CJ ‘Mr. BCE’ Nelldell Owner & Founder of BCE Apparel Co.
